This morning my truck turned over for about 2 seconds then stopped. There was electrical smoke and it sounded like just the solenoid was engaging.. I replaced the starter and the battery is good and it won't turn over. The ac compressor had been making some funky noise. Anyone with any ideas?

Have you checked the Starter Relay, On the firewall next to the Battery?

 

Your compressor clutch pulley bearing probably failed, locking up the motor.

To test, remove the serpentine belt and see if it cranks normally.

Been there, done that, got the ride home on the AAA flatbed hauler.
