Going down smooth highway at 55 mph and truck just shuts off, turns out to be 30 amp maxi fuse under the hood, PCM power. Replaced fuse and all has been well since. 97 4.6. What do you guys think? Fuse was original.

 

Just blew again coming down the driveway, so somethings up.

 

Check your fuse box for corrosion.

Also, check to make sure you don't or didn't have an infestation (ie: rodents/squirrels/porcupines/dogs/etc) that chewed up wiring.

Got bored and looked this up. Appears to be some harness shorting out in the exhaust manifold atea

Update, canister vent valve wiring rubbed clear through in two places on a rusty piece of metal near spare tire area. last night it would blow a fuse before you could start it, but once I moved and taped the bare wires I put a new fuse in and it started right up. Thanks projectSHO89 and others for the help.
