My dealer just e-mailed to say he was given an ETA for my Lariat of 7/28/03 (build date of the week of 14 July) but

"My understanding is that system delivery dates may be adjusted post production to allow for quality inspections prior to plant release for transportation."

Then he asked me to keep him advised if I see anything of interest on the WEB because Ford often keeps them in the dark!

To quote: "Sometimes we are the last to know."

he is right. i work at a dealership and we dont know anything about delivery yet.

 

Once again, I would not expect to see any on dealers lots until late Aug, Sept. or even October. Most likely Ford will hold thousands upon thousands for quality control before releasing them to dealers. The plant I work in isn't even scheduled to work Saturdays until sometime in October if that tells you anything.

As for the dealer saying they are the last to know, your dealer has been through this many many times before so don't think he is in the dark.

 

hey Jstevens! At least you have a date. I preety sure we have the same dealer and I have not heard a peep about an ETA. If I remember correctly, don't you have a VIN. I don't have one of those either.
