Small clarification for those looking for Weld wheels. Their home page is http://www.weldracing.com/Weld.html , not weldevo. EVO is just one, of several wheel lines they produce. FWIW, I could only find one EVO wheel offered in 6x135 (see: Espada 6).

The other wheels they offer for trucks are here.

Of those wheels, I could only find two offering 6x135 fitments. They are the F1 Dakar and F1 Cheyenne 6.

Kinda slim pickins for now, but it does not take a degree in marketing, to know the custom wheel industry will likely ramp quickly for the new model, of what has been the biggest selling vehicle in the world.

you would have thought ford would have chosen a common size. why they made up some new pattern makes no sense to me. now the after market manufactures have to start from scratch and we have to wait quite a while for a good selection of differant styles or a specific style to be made to fit. I think ford should take there cusomers more in to consideration when designing a new truck. I know from listening to many people on these forums that there is a big disipointment that. many options are not available on certain models like paint colors. I see no reason to limit the colors in certain trim lines. and many people are disipointed in the fact in the fact the heavy payload package is only offered in limited configurations. I know those ingeneers down at ford could have designed a heavy duty payload package for the shorter bed trucks. if anything they should have offered a 4.10 gear ratio for those of us that like to put bigger tires on there truck and I know there is lots of us that do. I wish it wasn't so expensive to do it in the aftermarket.

i can't find the spec in that pdf file, but i am too lazy to look thoroughly. i will take your word for it that the bolt pattern is in there. so i stand corrected. Traders gave me that size (6x170), so either they were mistaken or I remembered it wrong. yet another reason why I love this forum. thanks.

Correct, the 03-04 Expy and 04 F-150 both have 6x135mm lug patterns.

page 19...hmmm....17, 18 , 19! ah ha! got it!

what i have been doing is searching for 03 expy wheels like someone mentioned. i haven't found much. I am looking for something like the American Racing Outlaw II's. Not Necessarily that exact brand or model (since they don't come in the right bolt pattern yet), but i like the flat look with no spokes and rivets all around. anyone got any leads on wheels like this?

can someone explain to me what "1.73in. /44mm offset" means when talkign about wheels for the new F-150? offset from what? how does that affect my selecting new wheels and tires eventually?

According to that chart larger tires are more fuel efficient, how does that work? For example if you look at the 3.73 ration your fuel economy is better with 30's over 20' I thought it was the oppostie. Larger tires worst performance in regards to gas milage.

it's because larger tires come with midgets that run behind the car and push. they are midgets, so you can't see them from the cab of your truck...

actually, the chart is limited since it is for a certian RPM at a certain speed. larger tires can push you out of the "good MPG" range, but it isn't a strict rule. it is a matter of getting the right combo to give you the best final drive ratio.

I heard it was because they could put bigger hamsters in the larger tires.

Would that have something to do with the *Gere* Ratio... or does that only apply to gerbils??

Larger tires can kill your mileage. If you put 35" tires onto a little 4.6 or 5.0 V-8, you can make the engine lug and get terrible mileage, especially is the drivetrain had 28" tires and 3.08 or 3.21 gears. On the other hand, if you put some 4.10 or 4.56 gears in the mix, you can gain most of that back. Just consider how much heavier a 35" tire is compared to a 28". You've got to get that thing rolling everytime you start and it just takes more fuel.
