Wolf,

That looks sweet. I especially enjoyed your installation story. I'm still trying to decide between the Versacover, Retrax or Snuglid. I'm going to be out of town for the holidays but I'd like to check your truck out in person some time when I get back if you don't mind. Maybe we can do a little I'll show you mine if you show me yours over a beer (or 3).

Dan.

Very nice.

If you don't mind...about how much could one expect to pay for it?

Again, looks great.

Thanks,
E

Wolfman064:

Nice! That is the standard texture & color - correct? IE, no paint?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

The cover was 569 plus 49 shipping to business location.

What you see is standard texture and color. In inspecting it, I believe it would be easy to paint cover to match other colors, but since it is textured you may have to sand it a bit. The cover holds 900 pounds, too, which was evident when I stood and jumped on it - I am 230ish.

Dan, we should definitely try to meet up after the holidays. Did you ever see that message I posted for you about the Line-X dealer near us?

Bill,

Yes, I got your message, thanks. I've been waiting for an expense reimbursement from my employer and now that I've got it, I'll be getting the Line-X done when I get back.

Wolfman064,

The cover looks nice. Sharp truck
Good job on the gallery showing the cover...that should help out others who are trying to decide what to get. I like the way it mounts to the bed.

Sweet... Thanks for the pics. I may be getting mine at the end of this week but still having a hard time choosing between the Undercover and the Retrax.

The UnderCover lid looks sharp on your black. From some website descriptions, I expected a duller finish (described as matte), but yours appears to have a sheen to it. In another photo I saw, it was installed on a shadow grey...looked great on that color also. At 58 pounds and quickly removable, perhaps the UnderCover is a good alternative for some to consider. The price is right too. I think they should offer a single lock, though. My ******** had the double locks which I found somewhat retro, but no big deal.

Curmegeon,

Totally in agreement with you on the single lock / double lock thing. I see it as a cost cutting move, but I guess rather there than the material itself. I was very impressed at the match of color between my black truck and the Undercover - I think the pics dont do it justice, the color is almost perfect. Looks very "factory." I would describe the finish (to the touch) and color as similar to the Sport Trac's factory cover.

I am one very happy camper........
