Audiophile Cost

I read alot of good press on the Audiophile upgrade here on this board. Currently have a '97 F150, and the basic sound system on the '04's sound tons better. I love music but definitely no sound system buff. Is the Audiophile that much better than the basic '04 system, as the '04 system versus older models? Thanks for your guy's feedback.

Is is absolutely worth getting. Only downside is loss of underseat storage. I recommed it without a doubt.

Get the audiophile.
It's worth the price.

What components would be needed to convert to the audiophile system? also how much would it cost?

The audiophile includes a six disk changer which is different from the non-audiphile 6 disk changer, two extra speakers in the doors, an amp, and a subwoofer if I'm correct. It probably cost $$$$ to add after the fact.

GET THE AUDIOPHILE!!!!!
I would have gotten it if it was available in the XLT. Now I ill have to spend a good $500 in aftermarkat to get the same sound.
And aftermarket will take up more space unde the seats.:santa:

I have driven over 1000 miles in the last 24 hours - Maryland to Florida - and jammed to the Audiophile system the whole way. It was the only thing that kept me awake and partially sane. That and all the coffee. This is the first factory system I've had that wasn't in need of immediate replacement. A good clean sounding CD will quickly convince you that the money was well spent.

Speaking of cost, when I ordered my truck, the Audiophile upgrade was $404 at invoice ( $475 MSRP ). When my truck arrived, the invoice showed a charge of $202 ( $250 MSRP ) for the Audiophile option. I didn't ask questions. Sold.
