Ok, one last check for me and I'm done. Truck should be here this week I'd think. Was shipped on March 10 via convoy from VA.

Thanks IzInBloOm.

Hopefully my truck will be here this week , since I am in Northern Va and it was built less than 200 miles from here.

I know... I know.... it doesn't always work that way

but let me hope LOL

I've been thinking about this whole issue with checking order status. First, let me say that I absolutely understand that if the VOPC wasn't meant for the customer's use, then yes, we technically shouldn't be using it ourselves to check our orders.

Now, having said that...why is it that a mom & pop shop on the net selling me a $5 bag of cashews can provide me with accurate and up-to-date tracking information?...but when I buy a $35,000 truck, I have to sneak around to call the VOPC and beg people online to check my order for me?! Granted, you 'CAN' have the dealer check it for you, but how convenient is that?...and how often do they blow you off or give you bad info because they're too busy or lazy to look it up correctly? (not saying my dealer is like that, not at all) But anyway, you see my point? Surely it can't be THAT difficult to provide your customers with accurate and up-to-date information on the status of your order. All vehicle manufacturers should provide an easy way for their customers to check order status...instead of making them feel like *&@# criminals for simply wanting to know what's up with their order.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just a little aggrevated with the process. I haven't had any trouble with my order so far and it's on it's way to my dealer. But with all the bad stories I've heard on here from people having a heck of a time trying to find out what's up with their orders, I got to thinking there must be a better way.

Still would like 1 last VIN check if anyone has access to the system 1FTPX14564NB64061

I agree with you, I have mentioned how easy it would be for FORD to setup a web based program so the CUSTOMER can track thier order.

Just my 2 cents.

Could you check 1FTPW12554KC65910? I ordered this truck on January 29 and the dealer can't seem to tell me anything other than the VIN. Thanks.

I totally agree lariatf150. With all the advances in technology nowdays it only seems right that manufacturers would allow this type service. And I really felt like a criminal when I tried my luck at VOPC. I didn't have a dealer code, so I guessed. Of course I was wrong so VOPC didn't recognize my VIN or Order number. I was connected to a VOPC analyst who asked for my dealer code, I was like "UHH" but she was nice and said as long as I had my VIN she could run it for me. Still I felt awful about it and feared that my truck would arrive with red tape all over it saying someone had broken into the system FROM THE OUTSIDE and had called about this unit.
Needless to say, I never called VOPC again.
