Question Fog Light Mod?

Does anyone how can I keep my fog lights on when i have the high beams? I've heard in others vehicles that you could pull or bend a part of a fuse and achive the mod.

In my neck of the woods (Virginia), it's illegal to have more than 2 sets of lights on at a time. I believe that's why Ford designed the system to turn off the fogs when the high beams are on.

I don't know if this is a federal or state law. That said, you may not get a lot of suggestions for doing what you want to do if it's illegal to do so.

Actually, they are fog lights. The difference between fog and driving lights is the pattern. Driving lights have a long narrow pattern for distance, fogs have a low wide pattern for close vision.
The color has nothing to do with whether it is a fog light, although most people think it has to be yellow.

What a bunch of crap.........they make it 10 times easier to see what is along side of the road (deer, trash, people) AND they help out the low beams tremendously. They are aimed down and work a lot like your low beams so it shouldn't bother anybody. That's ok, we don't need to see those kind of things anyway, I'd rather just hit them! Damn ******............

Oh yeah, here is a link to AWESOME instructions to do what you want to do LINK!!!!

I have my fogs set to come on whenever the other lights come on. I really am interested in making it so the fog lights will work while the high beams are on though. Im just not sure how hard it would be.

Tonight driving down to the party spot I had my brights on and I was begging for more lights. It'd be so nice to have two KC Slimlights on my bull bar, along with high beams and fogs. Now that would really light up the trails.

The quick and easy solution is to wire the foglight power lead to your low beam wire so whenever your lows are turned on, so do the fogs. Or for optimum output, relay it so the trigger is from the low beams and the power is direct from the battery...you'll get alot more output from them that way.
But this is only if the lows stay on during high beam operation....I havent even looked into if this is so.

you dont need any parts-

I just did this mod to my truck today.... no joke- it took about 12 mins!

All you need is a female tab connector, a round lug, and a piece of 12" wire........

follow these directions from Daves website-
