What Superchips Tuner options did u use

Just wondering what everybody else used as there options. I did the following:

Super tune with the 90+octane,stock gear3.73,+20 line pressure increase for shift firmness(why no more),1-2shift+5,2-3+4,3-4stock,stock tire hieght29.5",removed speed limiter, choose option for no rev limiter, shame it doesn't give you a choice of what to set it at.

Personally It doesn't feel any faster but throttle reponse is alot better. It does shift firmer now almost as good as a stock dodge or chevy. I also like that it shifts higher than 5k and dosen't bump off a rev limiter now.

BTW why doesn't anybody post what they paid for theirs?
Bought mine from the local speed shop called HotRod Barn
and got it the next day for $350

I don't exactly know why we're not supposed to post prices, but I just know we're not. I'll tell you that you paid more than the site discount from Troyer.

I used the Performance Tune, but bumped the 1-2 and 2-3 shift points same as you. Also the shift firmness adjustment isn't a %, it's PSI and + 20 PSI is quite a bit.

I started with the "stock" hi-performance tune straight out of the box, made one hell of a difference but as like most people I will be fine tuning it myself in the comming weeks.

i used the towing capable one and left everything alone. didn't want to mess with anything until i test it out and see if anything needs to be changed. when you guys said you pushed back the shift, where is the truck shifting at now? thanks in advance

my truck came with the small tires and 17s and my buddy lifted his truck and gave me his stock 18s and bigger rubber (fx4) anyone know how tall i should enter them as to correct my speedo?

B4 tuning mine shifted right at 5000 rpms. Now it shifts at what looks like 5400 rpms.
In the instruction book it says to just measure from the bottom to the top of the tire,I believe mine was 29.5.

How does the improved performance compare with just having the dealer do a PCM flash ?

How easy is doing this "Tuner" thing ? Can a "mechanically challenged" old fart do it without messing things up and can it easily be returned to the origional state ?

Is doing a tune ok on a leased vechicle and does it affect the warranty ?

Thanks,

The dealer flash is just to update their problems, a/c not blowing cold enough, hesitation in throttle, etc..... it will not on the other hand change the timing, shift points, adjust for new gears, tires etc...

The superchip will change the shift points, transmission line pressure, etc...

It is very easy to install and it pretty much walks you through the setup. It took me about 15-20 mins to do the initial install because it has to download the stock program.

To go back to stock incase something should happen is simple also you basically just plug it back in and it walks you through again.

Should not affect the warrenty if you set it back to stock before you go in..... (without telling them)

In the manual they have instructions for disabling the fuel pump for the Excursion, F250+, and Expeditions. Is it the same fuse for our F150's?

Thanks

you don't have to disable the fuel system on the new f-150 to install the tuner.

so anything +amount with the pressure or the shift point is above the superchip selection. i wasnt sure, i thought maybe like superchips was like the highest one and the + were just up from stock you know, thanks.
