Removing Door Panels - changing speakers

Removing Door Panels - changing speakers
Its time to replace the stock speakers in the doors. What is the trick to remove the door panels? i have removed many door panels in the past to replace speakers, and they have come off very easily.
After removing the screw at the bottom, is there another "trick" one must do to remove the door panel and gain access to the speakers?
Maybe i am being a wuss and just not pulling on the panel hard enough, but i would think it would have came off with the force i used.
Any suggestions/diagrams out there?
Thanks.

Tried taking my off to tint window. There are the two bottom screws, two behind the door handle, and another one under the Powerwindow/Door lock switch. I pulled up but still had a problem near the front of the door. Sure would like to know If I did not pull hard enough or if I am missing another screw .

The only thing holding the speakers are the four screws, thats it. Any resistance you feel may be from the big magnet sticking to the door. Just pull it out, no probelm. The only thing you have to remove to get to the speakers are the grilles held in by clips. Easy as can be. Now the back doors are little more tricky but just do some searching on this site, you will find what you are looking for.

I was pulling on the door panel, not on the speaker itself. I never got to see the speakers themselves.
are there 4 clips to the speaker grills? 2 on the left, and 2 on the right, or are there some on top and bottom?

The speaker grilles are separate from the door panels, you should not take out any screws whatsoever besides those holding the speaker in. The grille panels are held in by clips, how many I dont remember. Just start at the bottom slighting pulling in an upwards direction while pulling outward. Once a clip or two has popped loose its easy from that point.

Here ya go Papawoodie!
front door - pry and pop off speaker grille (easy enough?)
scab door: (a little more tricky)
1. pop off top left & top right trim pieces (held on by a few clips)
2. pry and pop off door handle plate. remove 2 screws
3. remove 2 screws that were hidden by the top left & top right trim pieces
4. remove 1 screw at bottom of door
5. lift and pull door panel
FYI ... replacing the door handle properly is a little tricky.

Any tricks with the door handles that you recommed? What is tricky about them?

There is no need to remove the entire panel on the front doors.

There is a pic with the speaker removed.
For the back doors, look here

I finally got all 4 speakers replaced, and it was a cinch! Thanks for the excellent tips!
Now, If i can only find a place in the rear to mount an amp. I have a dual 10" down fire sub box loaxed with Audiobahn subs, but i am scratching my head as to where i should mount the amp. The only place it looks like i could mount it is right on the passenger floor...right where your feet would go if you were in teh back seat.
The amp is a kicker ZR250, so it has alittle size to it....(maybe a foot long, by 8 inches wide.
Suggestions?

You can mount the amp behind your rear seat. Check out my gallery for a pic.

I can email you a pdf that shows you how to remove the seatback if you are interested in doing it this way.

In my SCab, I mounted my amp underneath the passenger front seat. It's a decent wattage Alpine amp so it's smaller than other amps, like my original 1200W Sony Xplod.

I put my amp there and simply plugged that vent. I dont plan on using the foot heaters anyway since I never have, but since they are low pressure systems, you can block one off and the air will be redirected to the other vents. Just try to remember to not switch it to the melt my amp heat setting.
