Will Ford Fix?

Will Ford try to fix the vibration problem through the warranty on my truck if it has a 6" lift installed on it? Is there anything I should bring with me to help get it in to be fixed? Any help would be great.

Probably not. If I were you, I would take the lift off and see if the vibe still occurs. If it does take it to Ford and have them fix it. If they fix the vibe, put your lift back on. Yes this is the hard way but I can bet Ford will say VOID with a 6" lift.

I tend to agree with kanter. By modifying the truck in that manner, they'd have very firm ground to stand upon when they said 'no'.

G'luck!

Even if you remove the lift there probably evidence that a lift was there. So, they could void your warranty even if you remove the lift...Then there is the whole stock wheel and tire thing.

The thing is when you install a llft you have to cut out one of the brackets

I had a vibe after installing after-market wheels and tires. As far as Ford is concerned the warrantee applies to factory equipment without modification. Never mind that my new wheels have practically 0 run-out.

As long as my truck has no vibration while it has the stock steel wheels and ^&&% General tires after being set-up IAW the TSB, they consider it fixed.

I wish you luck, but I believe that at this point they’ll blame the vibration on anything but the truck.

Yep, my wheels had 0 run out...They got the tires and wheels to spec out at 18 on the RF balancer but I have a small vib in the steering at 65-68......18 is pretty good but ford wants 15!
