Those bolts are not grade 8 anything... They are steel bolts and should be galvainized just like the bed of your truck. Sounds too me like your dealer has gotten a bad batch of these bolts. Mine has had everything from saltwater from fish coolers to living in the salt air since 6/04 when the truck was built in Norfolk and theres no rust at all on the bed bolts.
I've got galvanized bolts in my boat docks that are 30 years old and there's no rust showing on them.. There's 20ft deadhead galvanized steel rods holding up the bulkhead buried in the salty sand for 20 years and they are not rusting...
If you want to go with Stainless these guys probaly have them... I'm not sure what size they are... http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...NO=J1248629976
