Hey jperea -Where did you get that black plastic to surround the unit - that looks much better than mine. Did you make it or buy it?

It came with the unit. I had to modify it by cutting the edges down so the ashtray could close. I basically made the black surround piece fit in the ashtray, then I just popped the controller into it. JP

How does your mobile ease system work? Are you pleased with it?

Where id you install the control pad?

Do you have some pics?

Did you do the install?

Mobile-Ease works very nice. You just get in the truck with your bluetooth phone and it syncs with the Mobile-Ease automatically. When a call comes in, the stereo mutes and you hear some beeps - you then push a button to answer the call. Mine was installed by a shop, so I don't know where they put the module that hooks into the stereo. The microphone is on top of my steering column, which is very unnoticable. There is a pic in my gallery of the phone control module. The location is perfect for ease of use.

For calling out, you tell it either a phone number, or a person, which you program into the phonebook. People tell me that it doesn't sound as good as when I'm on the cell phone itself, but the sound quality is definitely good.

Is this the bluetooth sold by Ford? If not, how much did it cost?
