Another "snow" story

Took mine in the snow for the first time yesterday. Went to Flagstaff where they've had about 3 feet over the last week. Went to about 8000 feet on some forest roads. I wasn't the first one there but there was still a crap load of snow on the roads. Put it in 4-high after it got a little slick and never had a problem after. Not one more slip, slide or anything, she handled beautifully on the stock BFGs.

To sweet.

Send some of that snow this way...This has been the crappiest winter I ever remember. We have had like one snow that was 2 inches.

We had some decent snow this weekend. More than expected. Anywho... is it just me or is this the smoothest engaging AND operation 4x4 system ever? In the past I've been able to feel & hear the 4x4 system engage... now... nothing. I can't hear or feel that front axel engage. At first, I thought it wasn't working... but mash on the gas and BOOM! the truck bites and goes, regardless of how much snow/slush your in. I continue to be impressed by this machine!

This is the best kind of snow, the kind I can visit. I left my house at about 60 degrees, went and played all day and it was still in the 60s when I got home.

I know what you mean dzervit, if not for the way it was handling I would have never known the 4wd kicked in.

Yea, down here were still dirt biking in 70 degree weather. Actually when we get back to the parking lot we are all dripping with sweat (and mud). Not really what I would call a "harsh" winter yet.

I was in shorts mowing my yard today, then I did some organization, cleaning and painting on the carport. I was dripping wet and sucking down iced tea all afternoon. I think it topped out at 82* today. Is this January or May?

agreed... the tranny upshifts harder than the 4 wheel engaging/disengaging.

I also agree about the nice smooth shift into 4WD hi, way better than the old Sierra, that thing made a heck of a fuss going into 4WD hi.
