Trucks are very dangerous to race, they are harder to stop, and if it hits another car, it can kill very easy. There very heavy trucks compared to a the average 2,000 pound car.

 

You are very right. That is why I made sure we didn't exceed the speed limit by much(maybe 70mph) and also made sure I got infront of him way before the curve (that you can see plainly around) ever came up.

I just traded in my 02 Dakota 4 door 4.7 for my 04 FX4 F150 Supercrew. I can tell you this my old Dakota would have run circles around my new F150. The first thing my wife said on our F150 test drive is, "The Dakota is faster!"

Im not saying BS but your jump on him might have been the deciding factor. Are you sure it was a 4.7 and not the V6?

 

Yes it is a 4.7 with a K&N FIPK and Flowmaster dual exhaust. I will run him again and see what the results are and I will run him more than once to make sure that the results are legit.

 

Remember our trucks are faster than they feel. All the sound dampening material and large mass make them feel slower.
