If not a F-150 what would it be???

If I did not have the F150, I would still have my 97 Tahoe and 02 GMC SWB 2wd that were used as trade-ins. The only other new truck I would consider if the F150 did not exist is the Avalanche, but its looks and leaks scare me.
If I did not need a truck, a Cadillac CTS-V would be a cool every day driver..

oooh, good taste. I'm torn between the pre & post 69 models. I'd REALLY like a 65 but a 69 would be sweet too...too bad the 65 would cost me 20x the price of a 69
I am restoring a sweet 63 split window, it was an original fuelie. but has a carb on it now.

Timely question since I am right now debating between ordering a new F-150 or a new Mustang GT. The F-150 wins hands-down in terms of practicality, but the new Mustang is such an awesome vehicle it's hard to ignore!
If I go with the Mustang, it will probably have to be an '06 model, since there is almost no chance of receiving an '05 set-up the way I would want it (5-Speed Premium GT with the Interior Upgrade Package) if the order was placed today.
The good thing is that this vehicle (regardless of whether it is the F-150 or the Mustang) will be my "baby" and not my daily driver, which takes away some of the impracticality of the Mustang!

23mpg - i cannot believe that's true!
ford could be like this if they wanted too. cause the 7.3L powerstrokes get right at 500 or more a tank, and there a V8, so imagine if they had a 6cyl....
