I have searched already!!!

I own a 2005 FX4 Screw with 18 inch wheels. There is a three inck difference from front to rear height. I think there is this big difference because I have a brush guard on the front which probably pulls it down a little more than stock. I have a few questions and I have already searched but could not really find a definite answer.

I want to put in a Autospring leveling kit. Which one should I use? If I put on the 2.5" kit, will it affect anything else on my truck. I have read that some who put on the 2.5" had horrible rides after it so they went down to the 2".

After I put on the leveling kit, what companies make 33" tires to put on my stock 18" wheels?

Thanks for the help.

But will this kit negatively affect the ride of the truck?

I did the Autospring 2" and have no problems with the ride and height is perfect(rear is 1" higher)I think you'll find many satisfied Autospring users out there.

My rear is still half of an inch higher than the front with the 2.5" Daystar. The ride quality is much better.

I would recommend getting an alignment after making any changes to the front end. I simply put on new shocks and my front end was slightly more squirrelly at highway speeds. A simple alignment / minor adjustment and everything is right again.

This is a must, while I was there I had them balance my tires. Got rid of the little front end nibble I had.

Maybe take a picture of your truck and also current measurements along with what you are after and then send it to the autospring folks. With any luck they might give you an educated answer as to what size to get.

I went with the 2.5" Daystar and had the front end aligned. Now the front is only about 1/2" lower than the back and IMO the ride is better, stiffened it up just enough to take the bounce out on the freeway. As for tires I went with the Procomp 33x12.50x17 and there is no rub at all.

From everything that I've read I would go with the autospring 2.5" or 2" kit. Autospring doesn't stiffin up the ride and anyone driving a FX4 Screw knows that the ride is stiff enough already (lumberwagon). And if your a do-it yourselfer then the autospring is also a lot easier to do because you don't have to take the coil-over apart. Its what I'll use as soon as I get the free time to do it. My $.02. All the leveling kits that people have mentioned are good products, whatever you chose I'm sure you'll be happy with.

I had Auto spring make me a set that were 1 1/4", I did not like how high it sat with the 1 5/8" so he made them for me and now the front is 1 1/2" lower than the rear and it looks perfect (well at least for me)!
