On to the questions...
Absolute accident. I thought I was deleting my original review thread and wasn't paying attention. My apologies.
Stay tuned. I'm going to let Marc answer this one as he was in communication with Mike on this one. He understands it much better than me...
Also, I'm not necessarily going to say that you 'DO and DON'T' have to reset for an 04 versus 05. It's just the way things shook out on some of the R&D vehicles. Like I said, stay tuned.
Thanks BREWDUDE. I appreciate it.
Find your CC...it's WELL worth it. Trust me.
The jury is still out.
I know my MPG has risen but, on the flip side of that coin, my foot has gotten considerably heavier. I was getting in the ballpark of 15'ish (14.8 to 15.4) consistantly with my typical driving pattern (50% moving interstate, 45% stop and go interstate, 5% city). I noted that my computer was saying 16.2 today and I reset immediately after installation of the AFO.
I've also changed the fuel that I'm buying in leu of my tune. It's exclusively SHELL fuel for me now...

By the way rockpick, you never said anything about gas mileage and the AF1?

Listen man... I know what's going through your head. It went through mine too. I just couldn't convince myself that I wanted to give that type of money for something that was so mediscule in size and wasn't proven to me (as I'd never riden in a 'tuned' F-150 to really feel the 'seat of your pants' gain that it provides).
The bottom line: Lean on nearly every single person that you've read talk about the Xcalibrator here at f150online.com. We both know there are some crack heads and some folks that are very respectable. Whichever catergory you think I'm in, I bet that there's someone in the other category that has given the same review to the Xcalibrator that I've given. Maybe I'm a crackhead, maybe I'm respected... on either side of that fence, you're going to see folks RAVING about the performance gains that they've achieved by going with one of Mike's custom tunes.
You REALLY should consider this Shadow... It is my favorite mod. Easily.

When I installed the Air Force 1 on my '04 Supercrew I chose not to boot the PCM. My reason for this is that on both my '03 Cobra and my '01 Lightning I never had to do so, therefore not taking into consideration that the '04 has a totally different PCM than these two vehicles I bypassed this step.
Within the first 100 miles I generated a CEL.
I then went through the normal rebooting procedure of disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery, turning the lights on to drain any residual power, and after 5 minutes reconnecting the battery. Within the first 50 miles after doing so I again generated another CEL. This pattern continued for the next four or five 50 to 100 mile drive cycles.
I then removed the test unit and drove the truck with the stock intake system for a few days with no adverse results.
After calling Mike and going over all the issues with him I reinstalled the test unit, leaving the battery disconnected for the
"entire" time of installation (35 minutes).
I have driven over 800 miles since the reinstall with no issues.
Apparently I was not giving the PCM enough time to reboot while leaving the battery disconnected for only 5 minutes.
I am suggesting that all '04 model installations be done with the battery disconnected from start to finish.
