Thumbs up AirAid installed!!!!

Ok I just got my intake installed and I have had a day to drive it with it on and I must say it is awesome. I got the one with the "new" style tube with the ridge in it running along the back of the MAF. Ok all of you who still want the airaid and not the AF1, don't worry about it being too loud. This new tube I guess makes all the difference. At cruising and idle you don't hear it at all. Light throttle you don't hear it either, moderate thottle/a little more than normal acceleration, you begin to hear a little something like hmmmm what's that??? But when you step on it, that's where it changes.......it comes alive. WOT it is very loud and echoes off of buildings and sounds like a set of 40 series flos. It starts at about 2200 rpm and all the way to shift, very loud and MAN what a wonderful sound!!!!! I LOVE IT! And as far as power increase, yeah it is definitelly there, how much I don't know yet as I went to the strip again tonight and it was called due to rain right when I got there. I was gonna murder some hondas with their intake and muffler but I'll have to do that later.

LOL yeah I know but I guess those that still want that sound at WOT will have to go with this one because from what we are hearing the AF1 has no/little sound. Like I said.....I absolutey LOVE the sound and you only hear it when you want to hear it with the new tube.

I heard AirAid just filed for bankruptcy and closed the doors since the AF1 came out for the 5.4 3v. Oh well.

Actually yes. I bought my Airaid about a month ago, and if I was buying today, it would be the Airaid.
I like the red filter as opposed to powder blue. Like Matt, I like the sound at WOT. I could go on, but my preference is the Airaid...Kevin

I like my bug shield too much to do that. I thought about one of those hoods a while back...Kevin

The numbers you’re referring to are already out there; R&D is finished
