2000 mile fishin trip
Just got home from Sam Rayburn Lake in Texas.....Round trip was almost 2000 miles...I was towing my 21' Triton bass boat that weighs almost 4000 lbs with gas and tackle...I averaged 11.7 mpg for the entire trip driving 75 mph on the highways when i was not going through constuction zones...This was with the overdrive off...my figures and the truck computer numbers were close....the truck computer said 11.5 mpg......

Rja150.....
We did catch alot of fish but no "big" ones....an 11 year old kid won the tourny with a fish that weighed 11.57 lbs....all in all it was a great trip...the wind blew 30+ mph the second day and 10 boats were sunk....most were pulled up on shore at camp spots when they sank but the search and rescue guys had to get some people that tryed to cross the lake in the 5 foot waves.....I saw them towing out a brand new Skeeter after they pumped the water out.....some had to wait till the next day to get their boats......

Gtullous,
What part of Kansas are you in?
I usually go to Kansas to fish being I live on the Kansas/Colorado border.
I usually get about 13.5 @ 70MPH haulling my little Alumacraft. (Much lighter than your big boat!)
If the weather clears, I'll be going over to Cedar Bluffs this weekend. Sometime in the fall though, I'm wanting to hit Lake Texhoma (sp?).
These trucks make it such an enjoyable ride!
