Angry Chipped paint!

I've searched and read alot of posts on this subject. So here it goes.
I washed my truck the other day and noticed (only on the driverside, several different areas from front to back) chips in the paint with the white primer showing. There is about 10 of them. They look like stone chips but for the life of me I can't think of where this could of happened. I haven't even went off roading with the truck yet. My truck is an F-150 04', 9 months young and only 7600 miles on it. Shortly after I took her home I noticed "rail dust" on the roof of the truck. I took it back and the dealer used a clay bar to clean her up. I'm wondering if there was rail dust on other areas of the paint which were missed. This may have caused the paint to chip?.?. I don't know! Any one experience this?
Any one use the touch up paint Ford gave us with success? (doesn't look like blotched paint) If I ignore the chips, will they rust?

Thx for all replies

/signed, This blows!

I had 3 chips show up on the right side of the bed just over the wheel well. Yesterday I used a dewaxing agent to remove any wax and used fords touch up paint using a toothpick to roll it into the chips. Today after washing I used 2000 grit followed by 3000 grit wet or dry sand paper on a very firm sanding block to make it level then using "ultrafine" compound I compounded it by hand using a stiff dry foam pad. I then used a cheapo wally world 19.99 buffer to finish the compound and then waxed by hand.

I had several people look at it and none could find them. Use the search button here. Thats how I was able to learn to repair using the factory touch up paint

From: Georgia on my mind...

I don't know about rust, but I've got three or four of them in my front bumper near the fog lamps and one by the fuel filler door.

Edit: 2005F150SC, truck looks excellent, BTW.

Thx guys............I've also got some paint scuffs right where the moldings should be, They'll buff out though.

2005F150SC, Sounds like a plan. I'll do more research!

Check General Care and Detailing... this is where the 'chip fix' has been covered around 3000000 times.
