Well, I found a dealer willing to give me $19,000 for trade and still give me the truck for the Ford Family price, better than the other dealers but still not the NADA trade value of $22,664.

Does anyone think I can get $25,000 for my truck, stock? It only has $7500 for it. If they gave me $25,000, I'd owe $2000 to pay off my loan and be free and clear. I can get exactly what I want for $30,000 with the Ford Family Plan and $3,000 in incentives. Im pretty sure I could get them down to at least $28,000 seeing how I paid $27,000 for mine. So that'd be $5,000 for a new truck plus taxes and all that.

Quick question, if you Lemon Law it you don't get your taxes back do you? My point is if they don't give you tax and all that back, and they made me pay for mileage, I'd actually come out better in the scenario above.

I'd be surprised if you got that much, unless of course they marked up the new ride to make up for it. Lower prices for new vehicles means your '04 isn't worth as much either. If you can buy a new one for $28-30K, you can't expect to get $25K trade-in for an '04. I think you'll come out the best if you get the lemon law buyback.

I was in an 03 F-150 lease that I wanted to buy. A perfect loaded FX4 supercab with everything on it. Truck was perfect, never a problem, flawless.

Well, to make a long story short, it was too expensive to buy it because of the discounts and financing on new models.

Turned it in, bought an 04 FX4 SCrew for somewhere around 26,000--brand new.

2 weeks ago, I went to the local dealer to see how much I could get for a trade in on toward an 05 Lariat S-crew. I have an 02 Lariat Screw 4X4. They said between 16k and 17k. Same explanation as you all received...poor Ford dealer...losing money on family plan...too many new cars sold...flooded market...they need their profit...costs alot to have on lot...american cars not worth much. The sales maggot said they neeeded to keep a $1k buffer for reconditioning, so they only buy at $ 1k below KBB trade-in value.

I would like to give this dealer my business, as I have had some service done there, and they were pretty good compared to the dealer in my city. But, they only had four screw's on the lot...oh, and the one with the lift kit, and big tires for $ 54,000. It was pretty? They offered to have the lift kit removed if I was interested in the truck.

Regards!

I think Im going to just end up trading in my truck on a new 05. I found a 05 Lariat Supercrew Black on Black with all the options I want for $30,441 + tax. I just hope its still there!
