Just droped truck at dealer....

Well with 700 miles on it I just left it at the dealer. Some thing is rattling under the pass floorboard only when truck is hot. They seem to think its the guts of a cat.Front bumper is 2" higher on drivers side.Big time lag in the fly wire for the gas pedal.170 miles to a tank of gas.Rattles in the dash behind radio.Missing spare tire.Large crack in pass side door panel.and the alignment is way off.I am guessing they will have it a couple days and fix half of the issues if Im lucky.
I got the survay from ford and told the service manager I was going to wait till I got the truck back to fill it out. They may not care but I guessed it was worth a shot.

I guess the new price levels don't include "Dealer Prep".....

It almost sounds like it was thumped & "repaired", or maybe ran over something. High bumper, cracked panel, rattle in converter & bad alignment.........

Just my $0.02.

Man, that's a lot of stuff wrong with it! For some reason something doesn't seem right. Ford quality control is better than that.

Anyhow, good luck getting everything fixed!

Call me ****, but I will never drive off the lot until I have had a decent test drive, and a close visual inspection. If the bumper was off by two inches, I think I would have caught that. Best of luck with the repairs...

Well its noon here and I called the dealer to see whats going on.The rattle under the pass floor was the cats.He said the guts inside the cats were loose. He also told me I was far from the first new truck to need them. The poor MPG issue he said was fixed with a new PCM,plugs, coil pacs, new software from ford we shall see about this one. They replaced missing spare tire. And were working on the alignment and bumper now.

This is getting even better......I just got a call from the dealer. It seems when I called they had my truck mixed up with another truck no big deal there but.My rattle is not fixed they dont have any cats in stock and wont for 2 weeks. They also say 170 miles per each 27 gallon tank of gas is normal as well as the pinging. They say it will be bad for first 5000 miles.I dont even want to do the math to figure out what Im going to spend on gas to go that 5000 miles. The busted door panel has to be ordered and may take 4 weeks. And the spare is on order as well it will take 2 weeks.

At this point I dont know what they did fix and why they needed to keep it 2 days?
Im going over now to get it and see what they say.

170 miles on 27 gallons is NOT normal! NOT EVEN CLOSE!

I've been waiting on a drivers side cat for 2 weeks. The guts were loose and caused a low RPM rattle. They said it is not a 'Ford' part and is ordered direct from the manufacturer.

I only have 800 miles on my truck, but get about 300-330 miles out of the couple tanks of gas I've run.

Well I did the math...27 gallons per tank...170 miles per tank....7mpg....714 gallons to go 5000 miles thats over $2000 at the current price of gas. What a crock of sh#t.

Certain techs are better at certain things and normaly there is a diag tech that checks the vehicle. He could have been backed up for 2 days or working on some big jobs that meant he couldnt get to your vehicle.
