Well Ive been pretty depressed the past few weeks because it seemed my truck had only been creating problems. Of course there was the throttle lag to begin with and about 3 weeks ago I noticed a faint but high pitched squeak when my windows were down. I decided to take it in to the dealership and see if I could get these issues sorted out but they were so backed up they said to just call and set up an appointment to bring it in for a couple of days. Well with school starting I never had a couple of days to spare. Meanwhile, after a long rain one night I jumped into my truck and noticed a nice sized puddle of water and as predicted coming from the 3rd brake light. Days later when Im washing my truck I noticed my back leaf suspension was making quite a bit of noise and was sagging with very little weight. Yesterday I finally had time to take it back to the dealership. I told them my list of issues and they were quite cooperative. they said they would get it done as fast as possible yet it probably wouldnt be done till late friday. Well I got a call today around 1 expecting bad news considering the early call, yet they said it was done! I went and picked her back up and she feels good as new! All the noises are gone, they completely replaced the brake light and even tightened the rear suspension making it seem smoother and stronger. And of course I finally see what all the talk is about with the new pcm reflash! Anyways, I just wanted to vent and give the Champion Ford Service Dept. in West Houston a big thumbs up!

you got a reflash with the 4.6? I thought it was only for the 5.4's? Please advise.

 

Yup..... I assume so..... I just complained about the throttle lag like everyone else and it says on the paper work it was done and it might just be my imagination but it feels different to me.
