I got the ScanGauge and have it sitting loosely on the far left side of the dash. Of course it moves around with every bump, etc. For me it’s the best place because I can see it at a glance. I ran the wire under the weather stripping – thanks jrbhc8 for the idea.

I want to mount it so it doesn’t move around. Does anyone know if I could harm the dash using an adhesive Velcro strip? Would it discolor later if I removed the Velcro? Any other concerns using Velcro on the dash?

I thought about mounting it to the window with a suction mount using various RAM components, but that’s more complicated & expensive.

Any suggestions?

I’d go for the Velcro and not worry about the dash. I don’t think it going to hurt it anyway. If you take it off later, a good cleaning and Armorall should do the trick.
