Im pretty upset,my 04 fx4 has been giving me all sorts of lil problems, recently I took it in for rear sliding window replacment because this freakin squeeking noise was drivin me nucken futs,I also had them fix a vibrating sound from under steering colum it took'em about a week to fix might I add, and the list goes on so am I the only one with these lil hitches or are they common I need some imput cause I love my truck but I cant stand havin her at the dealer any more.

 

i usually try to steer clear of first year models just for things like that. so far so good on my 05 just little nibble in the steering wheel on the highway just to lazy to bring it in.
i only have 5000 mile on it but so far so good

NOW I KNOW 4NEXT TIME I PURCHASE A TRUCK, I HOPE ITS ONLY PROBLEMS THAT POP UP IN THE FIRST YEAR OR SO MINES ONLY HAS A LIL OVER 9000 MILES AND I HOPE IT ONLY GETS BETTER W TIME N USE.

EFEXCUATRO....did they tell you what was making the noise in the steering column?? I have something that's been rattling in there as well. I'm going to be doing the shifter conversion soon...just wondering what to look for, but I guess I can check it out then unless it's something unaccessable.

 

well..shes a Ford...may have few rattles here and there.but she'll always get you there!

I've had a couple issues as well, still do...

Leaking brake fluid/mushy pedal ->replace master cylinder
Peeling F150 badges
Engine vibration at idle->not fixed
Ticking cam phaser->not fixed
Driver side door bad rattle->not fixed
Poor throttle response/irregular shifting->not fixed

 

I got the break pads rotors and calipers replaced for squeeking.........
belts and pullys replaced for sounds whene I started her up..........
break pads agian for break dust problem............
I need to take her back because the breaks are still squeeking.........
and what i mentioned before rear sliding window and steering colum,
didnt really say what they changed but they orderd the part and took them a whole week to recive and replace that shi* what ever it was but finally got it back
