Khendrix,

Cause the Procharger was 1800.00 more and I am leaving for overseas soon, so I went cheap. My truck is going in storage for 4 years, YES, 4 years until I get back. Then, it is getting a complete overhaul. Rebuilt bottom end, heads and MUCH BOOST...like 12-14lbs.

Until then, I will stick with this and I can assure you it will dyno more than 60 more RWHP. I dyno'd 288RWHP when I had full bolt ons. It's already proven to add 300RWHP so either way I will be faster. I figure I am sitting at 260RWHP now after all my mods were removed.

Also, yes you can adjust shift points, pressure, and rev limiter on the Diablo. If they werent hitting max RPM, then they arent getting max numbers.

I guess I will have to wait and see.

Isn't the Procharger much more unreliable than the PowerDyne or Roush?

Thumper,

No it isnt. Procharger is much better IMO. But, Powerdyne is a decent, workable and proven product for much cheaper.

Anyway, here is a quote from "chucksbp" on this site concerning what his truck dyno'd on a stock 230 flywheel HP 4.6L with 7 lbs boost on a Powerdyne kit out of the box. That is roughly 80RWHP out of a 2 valve 4.6L.

The 337 HP and 365 TQ he is talking about is what he would dyno NOW. He has since added an intercooler and a 10LB pulley.

I did not have it on the dyno in stock trim but I did have it done with the powerdyne and FMU powerdyne kit out of the box at about 7# of boost and rear wheel hp was 264.8 and torque was 302.4 that was on a dynojet average of three runs. And the air/fuels were lean. I should get it back on the dyno when I get time but from my calculations it should be about 337 rear wheel hp and 365 ft lb torque. I believe the origanal flywheel hp in 2001 was 230 hp which would equal about 170 rear wheel hp so that sounds about right for the ET.

Well, first of all, unless you remove the top speed limiter and raise the rev limiter, it cannot even make it's stock power rated numbers in the first place - but once that is done, with otherwise stock tuning, depending on the dyno you can get anywhere from a low of about 200 Hp at the rear wheels to a high of about 218 HP at the rear wheels on the most accurate dynos.

So what do you base this on??? If all your mods are removed why would your truck be putting down 20-40RWHP more than every other 5.4 3V F150 out there???

This is the exact reason I said the dyno can be so cruel....dyno numbers are not guessed or figured....they are facts.

Do us a favor and make a dyno run BEFORE and AFTER you install your supercharger and post the numbers for both, that way we can see true performance increase numbers on a real world install. Anything else is just bench racing and talk.

Because I did dyno before I had mods and now I have still have exhaust and e-fans. I dyno'd 245RWHP and 290 ft lbs TQ at the wheels stock.

My first dyno with tuner, exhaust and intake was 270RWHP and 303 ft lbs TQ corrected. It was 262RWHP and 300ft lbs uncorrected. My uncorrected dyno sheets are posted on FTW in my gallery. I havent been there in a while. The dyno sheets on there were from my tuner, exhaust and intake, and with my heavier wheels/tires. There is also a pic of me ON THE DYNO incase you think I am lying. LOL!!

My last dyno with all of my bolt ons was 288RWHP and 333 ft lbs TQ. I dont have this dynosheet loaded into FTW. But, I do have it. I'll get a pic and post it later. .

That is how I know.

Here are the pics.

Even if I did dyno stock at 218RWHP, is that saying I gained 45-50RWHP from intake, tuner and exhaust? Not hardly.

I put down 245RWHP stock.

Even Mike Troyer just recently dyno tuned a Roush charged 4x4 with 6 lbs, no intercooler, 5.4L 3V with exhaust and his tune and it laid down 340RWHP. That is a gain of 122RWHP according to a 218RWHP stock. So, with a 60HP gain on a 6 lb unit, that means the exhaust and tune got him 60 more RWHP?

Nope.

Go to the Chips section, it is on there and posted by Troyer himself. I dunno, maybe his immediate numbers were wrong.

One more thing, could have I ran a 9.95 1/8ET and 15.5 1/4 BONE STOCK in a 5000lb truck with 218RWHP. Once again, not hardly.
