Keep us posted!

I'm in (kind of)the same boat as Thump. I think he's after a loud exhaust, me I'm after the a little more then stock. Something like F150 Duke was after.
I had my mind made up until I read this thread.
It was between Borla and Magnaflow, but now Roush is in the mix.

Sorry to post jump, but any idea what size are the tips on the Roush R1200007 kit?
It also state's that the pipe diameter's are 3". Our stock exhaust pipe's are only 2.5".
So is the inlet, single in side a 2.5 diameter and the dual out is 3"?

Thanks

yea, our stock pipes run right around 2.5" some are right at it, some are 1/8" or so under that (like mine) the roush pipes are 3" with 4" slash tips... the roush is definitely loud.
here are a couple of kingvinnie's roush clips:

here ya go thumper- its actually cheaper if you contact them...
stumbled across the site earlier today trying to find reviews of the roush to tell you the truth- as im sure you have seen, the avg. lowest is about $565-who knows how i got here, but i saw it and had to do it- so placed my order this AM...

http://206.55.126.45/dealercart/Scri...idCategoryII=0

the difference is one is legal (will pass smog/emissions) the other wont... im going to guess the off-road is less restrictive, and probably louder.

The inlet size for Magnaflows si/do 3" then 2.5" out.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Roush kit was MagnaFlow (at least the actual muffler).
I wouldnt be surprised either.

I have had great experiences with Magnaflow. I have not had any experience with Roush, I just dont like how all of there exhausts are available for every model except for the Reg Cab short bed guys (like me )

The reason why the "Off-Road" exhaust is so loud is because they put less packing in them(at least thats what they explained to me), hmm now that I think of it maybe they do make there own mufflers, how else could they pack
less material in each muffler, unless they have a contract with Magnaflow or whatever company to make them specifically for them. Thats some food for thought.

What is KingVinnie running???
Roush offroad or the other version???
I just went to the Ford dealer and sat in a 06 Roush stage 2. I was only able to take it around the parking lot.
It wasn't as loud as I thought it would be.
The pipe's are awesome, 4" tips and you notice them from a mile away.
Sound is still louder then my stock, but I am wondering if their are maybe different mufflers to choose from. From Roush that is?

Thanks

the kingvinnie clips are off road i believe... the 4" ers are one of the major draws for me to the Roush exhaust... i think the roush stage 1-2-3's are running the legal (quieter version) so that they can be sold in CA, and other high standard states? does that make sense? interior noise, the exhaust is supposedly pretty quiet...ie you can hear it, but its not annoying... outside though...it lets everyone know its there!

I've been comparing both the Magnaflow 16614 and the Roush R12000006 systems. One advantage of the Magnaflow is all stainless steel. The Roush uses aluminized pipe. About $100 more expensive for the Roush name.

Are you serious?
Roush is not selling stainless steel. WOW, I guess you do pay for the name.
I thought somewhere here, someone stated that Roush was actually using Magnaflow exhaust system's.

I stated that the muffler that Roush uses is probably MagnaFlow, not that they were using the whole same system. And as far as I know, it's all stainless steel as well.
