Haha, yeah HIDPlanet has a really nice retrofit in his truck. The Q45 projector looks really cool. HIDPlanet had someone do his, who is beyond awesome with his retrofit talents, and has tools at his disposal that the majority of people do not. He also costs A LOT of MONEY to have work on your headlights.

However, the LS430 light performance will dwarff the Q45. For good reason though, the Q45 was designed for looks, and it looks really good.

I will in a day or two. Looking at a way of getting rid of the rivets and the plexi glass that it holds to the mounting. Then need to get the shroud mounted.

Hey Josiah,

I live in Stillwater Minnesota and leave for work around 7:00AM and then return home around 9:30 PM or so. Granted I'm not at work the entire time in the evening, I usually drive through Minneapolis and work out at the gym and spend some time with my girlfriend.

Why, are you thinking about driving here from Cali to stalk me or something? Just kidding by the way...or at least I hope so.

Well at least your honest.

Well if you do show up and look just a little too closely at them, you might see a reflection. In that reflection would be me getting ready to show you my other latest mod for the truck....a Louiville slugger baseball bat. Granted it didn't cost as much as the lights, but it's still very effective.

But at the rate I'm going on this mod it won't be done for weeks anyhow. Thanks for the compliments!

Here some more pics....

Not sure I like the rivets, but they will help hold on the carbon fiber in case the projector gets so hot as to melt the adhesive on the back of the carbon fiber.

Playing with the idea of re-doing the carbon fiber and hiding the rivets. However, we'd need to order more carbon fiber and that would delay the project another two weeks.

What are the primary tools used in this project. I'm assuming a dremel with different bits is the main one.

dremel, screw drivers, level, tape measure. That's pretty much it. The dremel does just about everything.

Amazing amazing work duke! Looking great. Personally, I kind of like the rivets.

Thanks, at this point I'm just providing direction of the project and not doing the actual labor.

I'll be doing the actual install into the truck though. Which will take quite a bit of wiring and triming. That should be the interesting part.

Hat has to go off to a guy by the name of Matt. I'll give his contact information later on in this thread for anyone that wants to contact him about a retrofit.
