Ford build sheet... stupid questions about my truck

Ok, so I just bought an 04 F150 extended cab, 2wd, 4.6 XLT with 10,000 km (6,000 miles) on it.

I bought it from a non-Ford dealer, so they didn't know everything about it.

Is there a way to either access the original build specs of the truck, or get a build sheet from ford? (I did this with a 1970 crew cab, just dont remember how I requested it).

My bumper looks like it has a lock on it... is that just to keep it from being stolen?

Do all of them come prewired with trailer light hookups as part of the bumper? Mine looks like it does, but I didn't see a hitch there, so I dont know. (cold and snowy, haven't crawled under to take a peek)

Im sure I have more noob questions...

THANKS!

The lock blocks the passage way to lowering the spare tire. You can unlock it using the ignition key.

If you want to, post your VIN or email it to me and I'l run you an OASIS. That's about the best thing I know to do.

You **MAY** be able to call FoMoCo customer service and obtain this information... Definitely worth a try -- I did something similar on my 01' King Ranch to obtain build dates and such.

G'luck!

I just bought my '04 F-150 Lariat in march of last year. The dealer said they could not get me a "Build Sheet" so I called Ford, gave them my VIN and had the build sheet in about 2 weeks.
