i bought these on ebay for about $200. i am awaiting their arrival so i can bling it up! i also got the recon smoked led third brake light and i am very pleased with it.

 

I think you really have to exercise caution with anything you see on Ebay. I know some forum-members have done pretty well, but once the infomercials start hawking "Get Rich on Ebay" seminars, you know there are going to be some problems.

Not knowing where these tail lights are from sends up a red-flag. They're definitely not Altezza's (which look gay in IMHO), and like so many items on Ebay today, could well be cheap knock-offs. OTOH, they may be well-made led tail lights (which we'd all like to see)... I don't know, but I do know I'm not willing to gamble my $245 sight unseen.

ok i got the lights today and they are awesome!!! they look pretty much stock but have the awesome "good" LED lights (like ones on infinities). i am really happy with them, they just have one kinda flaw i think, is that there is a little style hump on the bottom of them. but its all good. i recomend them to all that wants LED taillights but doesnt want the lame look of rice rocket taillights.

Well I just got back from a week long vacation in Florida traveling from beach to beach. I really needed the break and in a very small way missed reading F150Online. However, I did not miss reading worthless posts like this one. When making statements such as this, please provide facts, past experiences or instances on how things "suck".

I have a set of the APC's in the shed. I purchased them off of ebay brand new. I had them installed for 3 days until one line of the led's decided to go out. I emailed apc and the seller on ebay, and tough **** is all they had to say. I agree they SUCK. I had a set of apc's on my 01 f-150 and they leaked. WOW don't you love it. $250.00 down the drain. <CLASSIFIED AD REMOVED>

 

well hopefully my lights dont fizzle out anytime soon. so far so good! those lights look just like the stock taillights on a truck but just have the LED lights in them. they are awesome!

That sounds like what happened to me. Im the one who did the tailite mod where I took out the APC led's and installed them in my OEM housings and lenses because I hated the APC "hump". Well, all went well after half a days work building them and man did they work good and looked great! Then in about 2 weeks, before I had a chance to take pics and post them here, the left side taillite went dead, a bad LED power supply I'd guess. Hmmm ,,,warranty was not even an option for the hacked units, so I ate the $265 and bought another OEM set to boot! APC does SUCK!

 

Bummer on that... I know APC has had some quality issues to say the least but, there are oodles of folks running them with zero problems as well. Unfortunately though, we hear alot about the failures rather than the successes... Tis life...

After the tax man came a'calling over the weekend, this mod may be shelved. I love income taxes.
