Tire Size Options

I have an 04 FX4 with a leveling kit. The stock tires are 275/65R18 on the factory 7.5" rims. What are my options for upsaizing and keeping my factory wheels. Seems to be very few options. Would like to go a taller and a little wider. Th 325/60R18 seems like a big jump up for the 7.5" wheels.

The 325-60-18 will rub. The options would be for a more agressive stock size tire 275-65-18 Cooper SST 32.07"
here
http://www.coopertires.com/us/en/Pro...ht+Truck+Tires

For an slightly bigger All terrain tire, the BFG A/T ko 285-65-18 which is 33" and 11.50" wide
here
http://www.tirepackage.com/detail.as...umber=BFG95290

or the Toyo Mud terrain in 33" with 12.50 width. as pictured above. The Toyo is recommended for a minimum wheel width of 81/2 inches but BALOGUK and a few other members have been running them on the factory wheel without problems.

Good luck

The TA Ko BFG 285/65-18R looks like a good step up from the originals tires.

For some reason, the Toyo Open Country M/T's are really hard to find right now, but those are awesome tires!

How are the toyos on the road? Are they nosiey? I really want bfg m/t but for an 18" all they have is a 35 and I dont think it would work with only a 2" autospring

the toyos are great on the road considering they are muds- they have a little hum but its nothing that i cant deal with- with the radio on, they're not an issue. smooth ride too-
if you can find em, they're great tires imo.

How noisy are the BFG TA ko 285/65-18R. Just looking at a picture, I assume that they will be noisy.

I have had multiple sets of the bfg at's. Great tire! They are not noisy at all. They are great in the mud, dirt, snow, sand. These were all on 16" rims though (GM Trucks). My only beef about them is the price and they do pick up rocks now and agian. I'm sure any tire with an agressive tread will pick up rocks though. This will be what I replace my Goodyear ATS with as soon as they wear out. Good luck on your purchase.

I agree that the price seems to be high even if they are made by Michelin according to this site:

BF Goodrich
Quality tire made by Michelin
All-Terrain T/A KO 285/65 R18 121Q 8PR RWL

You have to also consider tire life vs price. These tires last a very long time in comparison to many other at's.
