How far have you PUSHED your F-150?

Who has Pushed thier 04+ F-150 the farthest? These trucks are heavy! A buddy and I ran out of gas and had to push it at 120-130 yards into the gas station. A cop helped us push it up a hill to get into the Racetrack.

He was pushing from the rear bumper and I was pushing from the driver door and steering. We almost died. I threw up in the bed after the cop drove off.

I had a brake problem on the F150 I had. I went to push it into the street for a tow truck to tow it into a dealership. Me a buddy starting pushing it from the front end bumper. the damn truck picked up speed going down the hill unexpectedly, and smashed into my sisters car that was parked on the street dinged my rear chome bumper, and smashed in a chevy colbolt rear door! oops

Pushing the F-150

I have never had to push my SCREW, but I did push start a 1973 E 200 Van, on a gravel parking lot once when the starter solonid failed.

Don't forget, that with the engine not running, the front hubs are locked. They would really bind up on a turn.

I was out in Dallas one time at a certain lower greenville establishment that had an idiot for a valet. Didn't know how to start my buddies F250 Crew, and rendered it useless. We ended up having to push it about 2 blocks. 3 of us pushing at the rear, and the lady up front steering. NOT FUN.

I keep an eye on the fuel gauge. Who wants to be seen pushing a brand new car. Kind of embarassing if you ask me.

Never pushed mine, but my gf got her 2000 reg cab F150 stuck in my yard. Snow, soft mud and bad tires. This happened twice. No one else around so I had to push it a few feet each time. The yard has a slight grade up to the alley. Needless to say I could feel it the next day both times. Her's is lighter than mine and I hope I'll never have to push mine.

0 mi for me. I feel like I am on the line though. This forum will probably jynx me. I always go at least 30 mi after it says LOW FUEL. And that is on my lifted truck. Im scared to push my truck. Im scared to even see how much it weighs.

I hope you change your fuel filter every 1000 miles if you always run it that low.

when you run the fuel that low, it increases the chance of picking up garbage from the bottom of the tank where crap settles.
Ideally you should never run it lower than a 1/4 tank to avoid this.
My wife has the habit of running her 04 mustang low and when we did the fuel filter change last month it was real bad, with 12,000 miles on the car. And we always use good namebrand fuel, mobil, shell , etc.
