Finally got a ticket
#17
I have gotten a few tickets in my day...and to be honest I have never really complained about any of them because I know I was long over due for everyone I got. I almost take it as being the same way with you judging from the title of the post "I Finally Got a Ticket". It sucks but suck it up and pay it...you were in the wrong no matter how you look at it. Just think of it as things getting a little even for all the times you did stuff and didn't get caught (thats what I do and it helps...a little.)

Welcome to the club. I got one at a lazer trap in Calgary the other day. I don't want any point on my license so I'm gonna go to one of the traffic ticket lawyer companies and get it changed. Kind of a scam if you ask me. I will still have to pay the fine which is $156 plus 3 demerit points on my license, you pay the traffic ticket lawyer (who are ex city cops and know which strings to pull) about $200 and they will usually get the points taken off.
edit: Just remembered, the cop was a chick and she was pretty hot, maybe 21 or so.

well I have good news, today my mom called the number on the ticket and they said I go to driving school(thursday from 6-9) them and send them the ticket in the mail then they will drop it. It was only going to be $130 anyways but the insurance would sky rocket if it went on my record. The Judge my mom talked to said it should have been improper passing instead of careless driving but it would be dropped either way because it was my first offense and hopefully my last.

I'm glad he didn't get you for everything he could. If it was the end of the month he may have. Not ALL officers are bad, but sometimes they CAN take advantage of their status. I suppose everyone who works in their respective field deserves some type of immunity. I would definitely take the defensive driving to get it off your record.Good luck.
