Texas Model

I recently took a trip out to Dallas and noticed quite a few trucks there with special Texas edition badges. I was just wondering what that option pack was all about. Most of them looked like they were 2wd, but I couldn't say for sure.

usually just regional packages with fancy badges and a few interior changes- maybe different leather, different dash material other than woodgrain or the carbon-fiber- but for the most part its the same ol F150!

Nothing to get excited about -- just modest trim level trucks with special exterior badging that were offered at an extremely attractive price-point down here in Texas. As far as I could tell, there were certainly no "must have" factory modifications that were created for this edition only...

Is is mostly adverstices with a 6 disc changer and chrome nerf bars. Oh and i think they point out that you get fog lights with it. No big deal IMO but I guess it sales trucks.

Ive got a 2004 "Texas Ranch" F150. Basically its a King Ranch, but in '04 there wasnt a KR yet. All it is, is a Lariat with special emblems, and really nice leather, oh and a huge price tag!

When I was shopping around for trucks Young Chevrolet (and most dealerships in this area I suppose) offered the Texas and Lousiana package that came with a few extra goodies (towing package, tinted windows, etc) at a relatively cheap price.

They are made for gay guys, because we all know that only steers and queers come from Texas.

Texas Edition includes, chrome running boards, power driver seat, upgrade stereo system, Texas edition badges and a nice discount.
I purchased my 05 Supercrew in Oct of 05, Sticker price was $32K, after all rebates and discounts I gave less than $19K for a great truck.

I hear there is an exclusive to Hawaii version....
It comes with a no-spill bong holder and custom rubber sandals that say Ford on them.

All it is a sales gimic to get more trucks sold and fool some folks that they are getting something special. They have the same sort of thing in Tennesse every once in a while and some of its surounding states as a southeren truck package or something to that effect.

Wait until you see the "Thrill Edition", you guys will go nuts and ask all your local dealers for more info. It should be nationwide!!!!!!!!

It should be available late spring Early fall.

I would say based on the guy I know that has some inside info. The following may be the options list.

Rancho 4" Suspension Lift, W/Skid plate, & 9000 Series all 4 corners with the rear ones being piggy back. In-cab controller custome mounted in console.

American Racing Forged Nicle Chrom plated 9100 series "Legends.

35" x 12.5" Toyo Open Country A/T's

Bushwacker pocket flares.

Re-geared to 4:10's with front Tru-Track.

Kaztkin two-tone leather.

Kenwood DDX6019 indash DVD player.

Focal 6.5 components in the front.

Focal 2-way in the rear.

1 - 10 Custom made sub for application

Zapco amps to power front and sub only. WIth rear running off deck power for fill.

Complete interior Dynomat.

Edge Tuned.

Chrome handle Covers.

Extang R/T.

K&N 77 Series.

Exhaust dymomax - may be changed to a poished system for sho and go.

The energy will be legit, the power will be crazy, and the ladies will be weaak in the knees.

I have never heard a system like that, maybe that is the cause for my disinterest in expensive audio systems.
