IT does light up just like OEM. Just line it up perfectly and go. The tool for removing the needles wasn't the best though, as the needles were a bit larger than the opening on the tool, but other than that, it's a great kit!

Well, I know it will swap, but the question is, what will work? Power window and such are controlled in the cluster, the 06 displays temp/direction, so i question whether that would work. I know 06 STX's and XL's with manual transmissions have a tach, so I presume that should work. I guess the only real way to know is to swap one. Hopefully you can find a "loner cluster" before you buy and try. Good luck! Ron

TXF150 posted a link the other day for the instructions. If you can't find it or he doesn't repost, let me know , then i'll post them. Do you have a cluster and message center controls yet? It's really fairly simple.

That's it. as far as wiringing the cluster so the message center will work, that's fairly easy as well. I can give you detailed instructions if you're going to do it. It requires very little work, just a little time as you want to make sure everything goes where it's suppose to. Plus you need a couple of connectors that you need to get from the dealer or rob them out of a salvage cluster harness. Ron

Ok, I'll take you up on the offer of detailed instructions. please send me a pm

hey guys I had a question. I own an 08 XLT and had the tach/speedo. I swapped it to 07 FX4..unplugged battery and let computer reset and it worked. No problems, no nothing. Here's my question...can an 08 cluster be used in an 04? Would there be an issues?
