I plan on getting a fender badge, with the bottom line that says "5.4 Triton" to put back there in place of the F150, as someone else on here has done (the name escapes me at the moment) and then putting the XLT from an Excursion on the right hand side.

you should just completely shave the tailgate, that would be pimp.

Someone here did it on his yellow truck, cant remeber who....looks great though but lots of work....he is in the bodywork business so it wasn't much for him. I'd have to pay out my booty to a shop.

On that Flaming Yellow, that looks good. But on other colors, I'd be afraid that it'd look too "big" back there with nothing on it. Just me though.

Ya, I'd say do it up! That was the emblem under the F150 fender badge on my 1998 XLT!

I think the shaved look would be best on any color. I would do it if the emblems were just stickons. I have always preferred the "clean" look.

Its just a little bit higher in height than the original badge, maybe about 1/2" - they came with double sided 3m tape and the pins to mount on the fender but I just hacked em off....lemme see if I can find my original post...

Here it is:

That should answer your questions
