Got a 05 scab flareside- wondering if there is a way to tint the stock lights, I want to keep the OEM look, but just darken them a little, any ideas or pics???

he's got the flareside, no Harley's for him...

You can do them yourself with Niteshades tail light smoke paint.

Or pay a professional to do them, would cost $100 or more. There are a few shops with websites online you can deal with.

I did the same with Nightshades.. on my old car and the truck.. Works awesome! Just make sure you remove the lights and run some soap and water over them first. Tape off the light holes so you don't get water inside!

I need to take new pics of the truck.. other then what I have posted. I'll look as I'm on my home computer now.

Nightshades is cheap.. like $5-6 a can.
The darkness depends on how many coats you put on... you d'nt have to wait for them to dry... keep switching tailights as you do coats and you will be fine. I wax right over mine.. you might have to redo them after about 2 yrs.. that's what happend on my stang.

So you apply the night shades to the outside of the lens? No adhesion or peeling/flaking problems?

www.jonstintedtails.com - he does excellent work and is very reasonably priced. He has tinted most of my VW lenses.

Check him out

Okay, I took a few more pics of the taillights, but with the flash, doesn't look that dark. The better pic turned out of the 3rd brake light.. After seeing that.. I think I'm going to give the taillights a few more coats. check them out.
