Passport SRX radar detector/ aser shifet installed

pics are worth a thousand words.

the instilation is pretty simple. If you can install an amp kit you can do this. there are alot of different units. its not just a cheap window mount unit. no this unit actuall has to be installed and runs about 600 on ebay (msrp was 1600). there are three laser shifters. one mount on the back and two mount up front. the radar unit also mount up front. everything else plugs up inside.
so heres the pic of the front three units:

WHAT???? you can't find them???? thats the whole point!!! hey are hidden so noone can see them but they can still detect and shift laser. here is a pic of where the radar unit is:

I know its hard to find so here it is from undernieth:

and this is where the laser shifter gets mounted:

here is the rear laser shifter:

and this is the dash display:
this is pretty straightforward. I don't smoke and I wanted it flush in the dash. so I went to town

Nice install I've been debating what I want to get between the srx or the 8500/shifter. I had to go to driver retraining(more like driver waste of money) a couple of weeks ago to keep my licence, but its hard to drive slow for so many miles on the highway with a truck that likes to coast at 85

SRX!!!!. lol, I'm partial. but the SRX has something the 8500 or Solo S2 (which I've also owned) doesn't..... laser shifting. plus the fact that I use it as a voltmeter

active laser shifting is a nice war of saying laser jamming. its the same thing. cops laser gun reads -- lol. active radar jamming is illegal by the federal government. active laser jamming however is not. the solo s2 is a nice unit. I liked mine but it couldn't replace the srx. (wasn't loud enuff)

doesn't need one in the rear. radar is kinda clumsy. so it bounces off of everything for a long distance. where laser is a focused beam. plus most of the time a cop runnin radar will be ahead of you. unless he's right behind you and you don't look in the mirror. either way the radar stil picks up radar behind me.
