I didn't think of that. It may factor into my decision.

I would go with the bull bar. The only reason I haven't gotten one yet is b/c I don't want to lose my front tow hooks. Can you get the Westin without losing your hooks?

I vote for a full front end replacement such as Ranch Hand. A lot of folks down here have them painted to match their accent colors and they look sharp.

Anyone have more pics of the full front end replacement like the one ranch hand carries. Maybe another manufacturer or something... That is what I want when I save 900bux!!! Just curious to see more pics as I dont see alot of full replacements in person even in south texas!! Thanks!

Don't get me started on the waxing difficulties either...

Overall, I like the brush gaurd, but I can't say I'd be any less happy with a bull gaurd.

Oh, there IS of course the "getting housemoms out of the way" factor with the brush gaurd! I've been in front of my F150 with the wife driving it and I can say it is VERY intiminating to be in front of!!!

A friend of mine has an f250 7.3 diesel with a brush guard and a lady pulled out in front of him, needless to say the truck was fine, but the little accord was toast. That may factor in too.

Out Of The Two Choices I Like The Bull Bar, But My Favorite Is A Ranchand Because It Protects But Still Has A Good Bit Of "style" , Another Good One Is The Manik Grille Guard! (although I Think You Have To Take Tow Hooks Off With It On! But Ne Ways, Thats My Two Cents!

I had a body shop do the work on it. Not sure what the prep was before paint.
