magnaflow ?????

Another magnaflow ????

I know nothing about exhaust systems so please bare with me. Iv done some searching on this site and still am unsure of some thins. I have a 2004 f-150. i want to get as much performance out of the exhaust i can with as little cabin drown as possible but i still want to have a good growl outside of the truck. im thinking either 18 or 24 muffler.

1 Whats the sound differents if i have single in single out, or single in dual out.

2 What size pipes and tips should i get.

Any help would be appreciated

i went with the magnaflow siso catback and realy like the way it sounds. Not to loud in the cab ether. Now if you step on it thats another story. If you go to the sido setup it is going to be louder. I also was told that the siso gives you better torque.

The main reason that I went with the siso was that everyone where I live gose with the big duels out the back. I had to do something different. I was going to get the lightning exhaust but I'm happy with the result of the siso.

That's the exact reason that I just ordered the Maggie SI/So today for mine.

I am happy with my Maggie SIS0 overall . I believe that's a 24" muffler with 3" mandrel bent pipe. Sounds great and drones a bit at 80+, but I don't do highway much. I also have a Volant and EDGE which contribute.

If it's the 16612, then it's the 18" muffler with 3" ID piping.

I ordered a Magnaflow 12158 and 35117 (2) a couple weeks ago and had them installed locally. It is loud (when you're "on it"), and has a slight drone on the highway (75+ mph).

Consider this route (buying muffler/tips) if you don't want to shell out the big bucks for the mandrel bent system, like I didn't want to do.

Dude I have a Maggie on my FX4 and had a full Bassani setup on my Lightning which I loved. If you do a search on aftermarket exhaust or a specific brand I am sure you will have PLENTY of information to help you decide. Good luck.

I really like the sound on the catback magnaflow that I have. Went with the SISO trying to keep it looking like stock, but much better sounding. I drive 45 miles each way on the expressway and have no issues with drone or resonance. Ran the truck to KY/TN and back on a weekend [1100miles] and had no problem with drone.
