Exclamation Transmission Problem?????

Ok so recently I have noticed that when I accelerate from a dead stop, it feels like there is a slip in the transmission, also the delay from drive to reverse is getting worse, it takes around 2 seconds for reverse to engage from drive..

Any ideas on what may be going on??

no gears and old fluid might have caused this

flush your fluid and get a new trans filter

I had the same problem with the delay going into reverse with my 2004. Finally one day out in the woods my transmission took a dump and I barely made it home. Turned out the reverse clutches were ruined.

Hi.

Well - you might want to try a more appropriate forum, like 'Powertrain/Transmissions', or 'Other Powertrain', perhaps? . Better chance of a hit there. Searching may turn up some hints too...

I dunno 'jack' about trannies either, but I do know they need frequent oil/filter changes, and proper cooling ( like an active tranny cooler), to live a decent life. And, some of the folks in those forums do know 'jack'.

Good luck.

Cheers

I know KickAss had a similar issue where it wouldnt engage into reverse correctly. He took it to the dealership and had it fixed. Maybe he can provide more info...

Its all in your head, these transmissions are bulletproof from the factory and my transmission works fine. Besides, transmissions are over rated.
