anybody have any updates on the Ford Hurricane engine ?

my cousin is big in to Mustangs... owns a 2004 Mach I mustang... belongs to a Mustang club goes to mustang meets and so on ... we talk all the time about stangs and f150's ...he called me and told me he heard that Ford cancelled the Hurricane engine again ! a second time ...so I was wondering if any anybody heard anything else ? I hope it not true especially after reading this ...

The large engine will compete with DaimlerChrysler's new Hemi and General Motors' large Vortec engines. Ford is currently unable to compete with these large V8 engines in the pickup truck, SUV, and luxury car markets with its 5.4 L Modular V8.

and I own a 2005 fx4 5.4

A 6cyl 4.4L diesel is coming to the F150, you can bet it'll blow the gassers out of the water with a little tuning but I'm pretty sure it's thrown out (the hurricane). Hard to say as there have been a couple changes in direction. Ford has had the 6cyl 4.5L diesel in it's LCF's but I believe the diesel coming to us is going to be slightly smaller. Expect this in 09+ from what I've heard.

From: Georgia on my mind...

Don't expect any drastic changes 'till the '08-'09 model year at the earliest.
