Power source for Sirius radio...(quick response please!!!)

where did you guys slice into power at? Are there any non switches 12v sources in the dash around the stereo? I spliced mine into the radio power which IS switched and everytime I turn the truck off I loose all my presets and it goes right to the weather channel.

How about the Cig lighter circuit. It's always hot I believe.

Keep in mind though, you're going to run the risk of draining the ole' batt-reee.

If you want it always on, tap into the cig lighter.. Also something must be wrong with your receiver, because when it is turned off, it should keep the settings..

So its something wrong with the system? It is the SIR-ALP1 which hooks into the rear of the unit which is the IVA-W200. The directions say to hook it directly to the battery so im assuming it wont drain the battery?

OK I see now, it is a sirius adapter for your headunit, I thought you just bought a receiver and wanted to install it.. In that case, I would just tap into the constant on 12V in the radios harness..

Just so you know, I've had mine ( same set up as yours) hooked up for a few months now and have had no issues with the battery draining.
