I know that Banks is VERY OVER RATED when if comes to diesel, the biggest thing that helps them is tons of money spent on TV and magazine ads. With there diesel packages you can make more power and be just as reliable for about 1/2 the price with quite a few other companys. Like with my dads old truck, a 99 F350 4X4 7.3L PSD/6spd (pic of it in my gallery), if I remember right it made 314rwhp (I don't remember the torque) which was about 100 hp more than the baseline. With only about $1200 into it which included an intake, 4" turboback straight piped exhaust, custom 4 position chip by TS Performance and later a much hotter one by TP Tuner, and then gauges. To make that kind of power with Banks you have to spend over $2200. Dad put over 100,000 miles on that truck towing and the only weak point he found was the clutch.

Maybe there gas products are better....

But from what I have seen from a couple of Banks diesel trucks, I am impressed in the least.

I agree with you 100%. Banks products are very high quality, yes. But, they arn't worth the price tag that Banks puts out there to say the least.

What does that have to do with anything? There are plenty of other tuners on the market. There is usually a reason why someone would pick a product over another.

The tested truck is pretty much exactly like mine and it put down 202hp max in stock form, and 335 with the blower and intercooler. I put down 345 with mine without an intercooler so I must be doin better than I thought I was!

I second that Matt the Banks setup is 2k more than the regular non intercooled Roush charger 6 PSI and makes more power. Banks does good things for Diesels but for gassers I think they fail to compare like others, yes they do have a twin turbo chevy small block but thats another story.
