Do you use a Radar Detector in your 04-07 F150?

Hey Guys,

I'm flirting with the idea of getting a Valentine V1 Radar Detector for my 05 F150 since I seem to have a horrible problem attracting police officers the past month. I've had two tickets in the past month and that's more then I've had in the 9 years I've been driving. It's not like I'm flying around at the speed of sound, just going 5 to 15 over. (15 over is on open highway with little traffic for the guys about to rip me over safety). Besides I know everyone likes to preach about following the rules of the road lately, but I guarantee 95% of us all violate them daily in some for or another.

That being said, provide an answer to the following question:

Do you use a radar detector?

A) No, I religious follow the speed limit in my 04 -07 F150 and don't even go over the posted speed in a heavy tail wind going down hill.

B) No, I usually travel at rates 5 to 15 MPH over the posted speed limit in my 04 - 07 F150 and like to live on the wild side by not using a radar detector.

C) Yes, I have a radar detector, but it doesn't work at all and I wish I never bought it. (If this is your answer, please say what type of radar detector)

D) Yes, I have a radar detector and love it because it works *all* the time! (If this is your answer, please say what type of radar detector)

E) Yes, I have a radar detector and I even go as far as to use a $600 Lasar scramblar so the cops can't get me with Lasar guns.

Thanks fellas,

Duke

You need to add this answer "I have a radar detector and it works *most* of the time."

I have the Escort Passport 8500 X50

Haha, thought you'd like that. Thanks for the polls, and don't forget to vote!

I wanted to target this crowd and not the GC crowd for this discussion. I was typing it up and about to submit when I said oh crap I screwed up earlier in the week or was it last week with the speaker discussion...I better toss this one a bone for a prayer in the 04-07 forum. It's a stretch, yes, but I *think* I have at least two fingers on the metaphorical ledge which keeps my thread and my online name from turning into "Panzy".

Did you get a ticket with it? If so the cop must have turned his radar on just before you had a chance to slow down..

B...
I install all the glass in the county cars and trucks.... I'm sure this has helped me on more than one occasion in my company van, I have gone though radar at 20+ over and they set there... but in my F150, they don't know me at all... just lucky I guess.... or

I never drive my Troyer Tuned F150 over the speed limit..
