Toolbox

Do these toolboxes, such as the UWS Low Pro, still leave enough room to slide an 8' 2x4 board over the tailgate and down under the tool box. I find myself picking up a handful of boards a couple times a month, and would hate to have to put the tailgate down to pickem up. In fact, unless I'm getting a full load of lumber, I always load it on the closed tailgate for ease of transport and to avoid having to get out the straps.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't want a toolbox in my F-150, because it has the 5.5' bed. But, I had a pro-tech in my '96 Ranger and my brother had one in his 01 F250. I wouldn't buy another brand.
However, Pro-Tech doesn't have any slick geometries to hide or minimize box height. UWS has some cool solutions on this.
