Thumbs down Truck is BROKE!!

I dropped my truck at the dealership tonight for my routine oilchange and tire rotation and I asked them to look at my suspension because its making a knocking when I hit any type of bump. They found that the sway bar links are broken. They wont cover this under warranty because i have 40k miles on my truck. I don't offroad or do any extreme driving. I rarely drive the thing... maybe 75 miles a week if that. Has anyone else had this sort of problem and are there any recalls or anything that may take care of this? I was quoted $277 for parts and labor to have this fixed. If I can get the parts I will fix this myself since I have replaced this same part on my mustang before. Any suggestions would be helpful.

OMG, $277. for sway bar end links!!!!! I'll do it for $150. I had polyurethane bushings & new end links replaced in my Explorer for something like $40. For both sides. 20 bucks a side for the heavy duty ones. Deffently get a second opinion on this!! Call NAPA!!

Bring the truck home, jack it up and look for yourself at the "damage". Easy fix.

If its only the end link that is broke, the part is fairly cheap, just install yourself
