New Shifter Ideas!!!

Ok, so i went to the dealership today and sat in an eddie bauer explorer. They have a shifter exactly like ours exept for the OD button is on the side. I think it will be an exact fit but i cannot find one any where. I got the part # from the dealer but cannot find the part anywhere so I need a favor from all you web surfers. The dealership gave me the part # of ***6L2Z7213A*** that part number is for an 06/07, eddie bauer edition, Explorer... Let the Hunt begin!!!

If you can wait it out I can compare the two almost side by side since I have the F150 and an '06 explorer limited. I am still waiting on getting my truck back from the tuner and then I can do it. The explorer one seems a little taller though and the trannies are waay different-4 vs 6 spd.

Man I can absolutely wait. That would help a ton to find out if it is a direct fit or not. I dont think the tranny gears will have anything to do with the actual shifter **** fitting on the truck, and as far as being taller. I think it may stick out a little more, but as far as overall length(not installed) i believe they will be about the same length. Thanks for the input man, can't wait to hear what you have to say

Sometimes you guys seem to change stuff just to see if it can be done.

My shifter cap broke off also. The whole shift had to be replaced. It was covered under warranty.

Do you feel like taking each one of them off and taking a pic of them side by side?
