cool, word for word it says " inspect PCV for flow(5.4L 3V 6.8L 3V Engines)."

this is what the manual states.

I think common sense makes sense. If your fluid/oil is getting brown or smells odd then change it. It is like them saying the spark plugs last 100k but if your injectors leak and foul them do they last 100K? If your pulling a trailer that is max weight is your tranny going to last 150K? What Quintin said makes sense if you want to CYA

I am having mine changed with Mobil 1 ***AT*******(lets be helpfull and not bring up oil..fluid bs..we knew what he meant) at approx. 65000 on Tuesday. I am also having Slick 50 Trans stuff put in it as well. I will swear on my dying bed by the Slick 50 stuff it works wonders.

My thought is an ounce of prevention..I forgot the rest but I am Covering my Asentialls..

I changed mine out around 33K mi. There was quite a bit of metal on the magnet and a few small pieces sitting on the bottom of the pan. I know this is normal from break in, so get that fluid out ASAP. I went one step further, and got the aluminum B&M deep pan with cooling fins and a drain plug.($110 from summit) I also used a qt. of Lucas trans fluid additive as well. Please stop splitting hairs with the "oil" and "fluid" debate. Thanks
